"Instant Divine Justice: Armed Car Thief Meets Tragic End After Targeting Pastor's Vehicle"

A swift turn of events led to one of two armed criminals facing a fate seemingly ordained by a higher power, resulting in his demise after he and his accomplice stole a car from a Pastor.

The individual known as Max, with his full identity yet to be disclosed, met an immediate demise when the stolen vehicle, taken from Pastor Adams Mwale, crashed. His partner in crime, Gift Mulenga, aged 26, survived the crash but sustained injuries and is currently hospitalized.

The two armed criminals, armed with a pistol, reportedly assaulted Pastor Mwale as he was returning from offering prayers for an individual near the Kapata Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church in the Eastern Province's Chipata area. They left him for dead and swiftly made their escape in his car.

According to Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga, who confirmed the incident to Mwebantu, the incident took place on Thursday, August 17th.

Hamoonga revealed that Pastor Mwale reported the incident to the police. The deceased criminal, Max, hailing from Lusaka, and his accomplice Gift, a resident of Kitwe, embarked on their criminal endeavor armed with a Glock pistol. They robbed the Pastor of his white Mazda vehicle with registration BAL 2724, valued at K45,000, before recklessly speeding away.

Hamoonga detailed the sequence of events: "The victim, a Pastor, went to pray for someone near Kapata SDA church. During the process of parking his vehicle along the road, he was attacked. The criminals robbed him of his vehicle and sped off along Mfuwe road. The same vehicle later overturned at Fisheries Chipata. The driver, identified as Max (whose full identity is pending), died on the spot, while his accomplice, Gift Mulenga, suffered injuries including fractured legs, a cut on the left heel, bruises on the forehead, and general body pains."

Law enforcement recovered a black Glock pistol with serial number SLC 729, along with 13 rounds of ammunition that the criminals had used in the commission of their crime.

The vehicle suffered extensive damage due to the crash, and the deceased's body remains in the Chipata Central Hospital Mortuary, awaiting postmortem and burial arrangements. Meanwhile, the injured accomplice, Gift Mulenga, is currently receiving medical treatment at Chipata Central Hospital under police supervision."
